Alice Muritu

Alice Wanjiru Muritu is a medical student at the University of Nairobi, Kenya and a researcher. She is motivated to develop her skills and to make the most out of the opportunities at hand. In her capacity as a researcher, she has served as a member of the RESPEKT Research Team. She is also an SRHR champion who has served as a Respekt volunteer and as the local officer for the Standing Committee on Sexual and Reproductive Health, including HIV and AIDS(SCORA) at the University of Nairobi.
 
Alice is also a daughter of the earth who believes that words have power. Consequently, she is a writer and an editor who has been part of the Association of Medical Students of the University of Nairobi Editorial Team as well as the Young Doctor’s Network-Kenya Medical Association Editorial Team.
 
She is also a mental health advocate who is enthusiastic about bringing change home. She is the local officer of the Standing Committee on Mental Health(SCOMH) at the University of Nairobi and the General Assistant for National Officer SCOMH in Kenya.
