David Ulrich Dalle, BSc, MD(c), MPH(c).

David U. Dalle is a medical student in his final year at the North Ossetia State Medical Academy in Russia. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degrees from the University of Douala, Cameroon in Biomedical Sciences. He is passionate about providing neurosurgical care in low-resource settings and decolonising medical illustrations. He has nurtured his interests in numerous organizations including the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies’ Global Neurosurgery Junior Committee where he is a member of the advocacy and secretariat teams. He developed his passion for research, medical education, and global neurosurgery in the Association of Future African Neurosurgeons (AFAN). As an AFAN research fellow, David published more than a dozen papers in peer-reviewed journals and made abstract
presentations at international conferences. Some of these projects are published and even available in PubMed. Thanks to his engagement, he got the Global Surgery short course scholarship at the university of Oxford. With Chidiebere Ibe, pioneer Afroskin Medical
Illustrator, he contributes to providing diversity in medical illustrations. David co-founded a start-up that was a finalist of the Stanford Global Health Innovation Challenge.
