7-days left: Abstract submission deadline for the 2024 World Conference of Medical Student Research

Dear Readers and Researchers,

The IJMS World Conference of Medical Student Research (WCMSR) is fast approaching, and we are excited to invite you to submit your research abstracts! This online event will be held on October 26th, 2024, and provides an excellent opportunity to showcase your work to a global audience of peers, mentors, and renowned professionals in the field. We believe this conference will significantly contribute to integrating medical students and young physicians into the medical research community. It is also an excellent platform to build networks, foster international collaborations, and inspire continued dedication to advancing a more inclusive scientific society.

Submission Guidelines and Requirements:

  • Deadline for Abstract Submission: August 31st, 2024
  • Abstracts must be submitted via the IJMS website using the provided Abstract Template. Ensure that your submission is in the "Abstracts of the WCMSR" section.
  • Abstract Types Accepted: Original research (including basic science studies, observational studies, analytical studies, meta-analyses, experimental and quasi-experimental studies) and case reports.
  • Structure Requirements:
    • For original research: Background, Aim, Methods, Results, Conclusion.
    • For case reports: Background, Case, Conclusion.
  • Maximum word count: 500 words.
  • Include 3-5 keywords (MeSH-NLM) and one figure or table.
  • Abstracts must be original and not previously published or currently under consideration by another journal.
  • A submission fee of $10 USD is required through PayPal. Please keep a record of your transaction as proof of payment.

Author Eligibility:

  • At least one author must be a current medical student or a physician within the first three years post-graduation.
  • Maximum of six authors per abstract. For more than six, please contact the IJMS Conference Team to specify each author's role.
  • Authors must create and link their ORCID iD with their metadata in the Submission Form.

Awards and Recognition: Top presentations will receive awards, including a fast-track peer-review opportunity for publication in IJMS and certificates of recognition. All accepted abstracts will be published in the IJMS supplement with a DOI, allowing your research to reach a broader audience.
