Abstract

This erratum addresses a copyright-related omission in the article “Empathy in Practice: Comparing Physicians’ Self-Assessment and Patient Perceptions Using the Jefferson Scales.” The authors did not obtain prior permission for the use of the Jefferson Scale of Empathy (JSE) and the Jefferson Scale of Patient Perceptions of Physician Empathy (JSPPPE). Retrospective permission has since been secured from Thomas Jefferson University, and an appropriate statement has been added to the article to ensure compliance with copyright requirements. This correction does not affect the scientific content, results, or conclusions of the original publication. The DOI of the original article is: https://doi.org/10.5195/ijms.2025.3247

Enforcement of copyright
