I am Balqees Abdeen Ahmed Mohamed, a 26-year-old MBBS holder from Sudan, driven by a passion for education, research, and community service. My journey began at the University of Khartoum Faculty of Medicine, where I dedicated myself to academic excellence and making a positive impact in the medical field.

During my time as a Teaching Assistant of Pharmacology at the University of Khartoum, Department of Pharmacology, I took pride in fostering student understanding and conducting engaging tutorials. My ability to simplify complex concepts and provide valuable insights significantly contributed to the success of pharmacology education.

As the General Secretary of the Genetics Researcher's Society at the Faculty of Medicine, Khartoum, I actively organized seminars and meetings related to the field of genetics, furthering scientific knowledge among my peers.

In my role on the organizing committee for the Sudan Tropical Exchange Project (STEP), I played a crucial part in planning successful opening and closing ceremonies, fostering cross-cultural communication, and ensuring a memorable experience for participants.

I have also been deeply involved in volunteer activities, notably through my participation in the Rural Residency Program in White Nile River State. Here, I organized medical outreach programs to remote areas, provided essential healthcare services to underserved communities, and collaborated with local healthcare professionals to promote community well-being.

In my research endeavors, I have had the privilege of serving as a first author and vice coordinator. My research publication on body image dissatisfaction among female medical students in Sudan reflects my dedication to advancing knowledge in the field. Additionally, my involvement in projects exploring topics such as stem cell science and technology and the impact of conflict on hemodialysis patients demonstrates my commitment to addressing crucial healthcare issues.

I am thrilled about the opportunity to contribute to the International Journal of Medical Sciences (IJMS) and look forward to leveraging my expertise and passion to further scientific research and dissemination.
