alternatetext

My name is Hana Kabil, I I'm a first year medical student at the University of Queensland-Ochsner program. I currently reside in Brisbane, Australia undergoing my preclinical years before returning to Louisiana for the completion of my medical degree. I have an interest in infectious disease and pathology. I graduated with my Bacholr's degree in Biology with honors from the University of North Florida, Jacksonville, FL, USA. I have conducted three years of undergraduate research in the University of North Florida (UNF) on Natural products for use as antibacterial drugs. I also spent a year in Mayo Clinic researching Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma as part of the UNF Undergraduate Basic Research Internship (U-BRI) program before applying to Medical school. Having realized my love for research, I hope to one day become a physician scientist that advocates for my patients and peers! It is a great honor to contribute to an international journal such as IJMS and collaborate with other amazing future physicians across the globe.
