I am Mallikarjuna Subramanyam Oruganti, currently in final year of MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) at Osmania Medical College which is one of the oldest and reputable medical colleges in India. I believe that evidence-based medicine is the cornerstone of clinical practice, ensuring that patient care is guided by the highest standards of scientific proofs. At the heart of this approach lies high-quality research, which serves as its backbone, shaping medical advancements and improving patient outcomes. Motivated by this, I am deeply committed to contributing to research that drives meaningful progress in healthcare. My academic interests are rooted in internal medicine, where I am developing my ability to analyse complex cases and synthesize data to arrive at accurate diagnoses. Beyond clinical training, I am deeply committed to academic writing and research. As a lead author, I have contributed to several research projects published in PubMed indexed journals. Furthermore, I have served as a peer reviewer for two different journals- Cureus, International Journal of Cardiology and Angiology, experiences that have deepened my understanding of the peer review process and the ethical standards essential in academic publishing Looking ahead, I am committed to advocating for equitable healthcare access, particularly for underserved and marginalized communities. I also aspire to contribute to the medical community through research and medical education, mentoring future generations of physicians while fostering a culture of lifelong learning and innovation in healthcare.
