Poliana Zanotto Manoel

Poliana Zanotto Manoel is a Brazilian fourth-year medical student at the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG). She is passionate about research, global surgery/health, planetary health, neuroscience, and patient care. She is always eager to learn and contribute. Currently, she is part of the national research team of InciSioN Brazil, a member of the Global Surgery Lab at the University of British Columbia, a co-coordinator of a literature review in the Cancer Prevention Research Group in Greece, a member of the research team of Oli Health Magazine Organization. She enjoys meeting researchers and mentors from all over the world and exchanging knowledge with them. She believes that through quality research, we can positively impact both the general and scientific communities.

She was a scientific director for a nephrology interest group, coordinating 5 integrative review groups, and was also part of the IFMSA Brazil local medical school committee, coordinating 2 literature review groups. Additionally, she was a member of a mentorship program in the Brazilian Society of Research and Health Innovations (Sociedade Brasileira de Pesquisa e Inovações em Saúde). She has research experience in case reports, experience reports, narrative reviews, integrative reviews, environmental scan reviews, and epidemiological studies. She believes that there are always new things to learn in the research field, and she loves it.
