She is a Professor of Pathophysiology and Ph.D. coordinator at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova, Craiova, Romania. In addition, she is a senior specialist in hematology and internal medicine and an elected member of the steering council of the Romanian Society of Pathophysiology. Her research is focused on the involvement of oxidative stress in health and disease (normal and pathological aging, blood cancers, cardiometabolic disorders, psoriasis), benign and malignant hematological disorders, as well as modern methods of teaching/evaluation and medical education.
