André Silva Alves

André Silva Alves, having recently graduated from the University of Geneva's Medical School in Switzerland, is now embarking on his first year of residency in general surgery at the University Hospital of Geneva. In addition to his residency, André serves as a Swiss military doctor, combining his medical training with the discipline and skills acquired in the military.

His academic journey includes a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Research from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, where he engaged deeply in the Principles and Practice of Clinical Research (PPCR) program under the guidance of Prof. Felipe Fregni. André's interests are multifaceted, with a strong focus on medical education, particularly in near-peer education and innovative approaches in anatomical education, such as 3D printing, multimodal visualization, and virtual reality.

In addition to his educational endeavors, André is actively involved in research, particularly in the field of plastic surgery. His research interests are centered around epidemiology, microsurgery and new technologies in surgical practices.
