Yusuff Adebayo Adebisi is the Director for Research and Thought Leadership at Global Health Focus, an initiative that builds critical thinkers and leaders in global health. He has been working as a student editor at IJMS since 2020. Additionally, he serves as the Associate Editor for Sciendo's Annal of Public Health Issues and is a member of the Youth Editorial Board for Wiley's Journal of Public Health Challenges. Yusuff has published over 100 papers in many international peer-reviewed journals and seven book chapters on various global public health issues. Yusuff has received numerous awards, grants, and scholarships from around the world, including the Kevin Molloy Fellowship and the RSTMH/NIHR grant, among others. His efforts to advance science and research in Africa were honored in 2022 with the Princess Diana Award. He is a voice, a role model, and a significant source of inspiration for many young people to get involved in academic research in Africa and around the world. Yusuff is committed to engaging in impactful large-scale population health research that will inspire changes, foster health equity, and improve the quality and quantity of life of people in Africa and beyond. He is particularly interested in using large-scale quantitative epidemiological research approaches to better understand how to advance health equity in disease prevention and treatment, as well as health system responses to public health emergencies.
