One idea can lead somewhere.

A patient encounter, a public-health challenge, or a question from class can become meaningful research—but the next step is not always obvious. The IJMS Research-to-Publication Lab brings together six practical sessions to help medical students move from an answerable question to a responsible manuscript and a clear conference presentation.

Follow the complete journey toward WCMSR 2027, or choose the topic that meets you where you are. Each 90-minute session focuses on a decision you can use in your own work, an applied example, and questions from students.

From Question to Study: Designing a Feasible Medical Student Project

What can you study with the time, data, collaborators, and resources you actually have? IJMS Student Editors Atika Zainab and Samah Seif Eldawla Ibrahim bring complementary perspectives on choosing a study design and making rigorous research possible under real-world constraints.
