alternatetext

My name is Malaz Abdalmotalib, I am 5th-year medical student at the University of Khartoum, I, Malaz Abdalmotalib (also known as Malaz Makky), am driven by a passion to build a community of medical students who not only excel academically but also thrive in research, clinical practice, and public health. I firmly believe that true education is not confined to the classroom but must be complemented by hands-on experiences that nurture growth, leadership, and a commitment to advocacy. This vision closely mirrors the mission of the International Journal of Medical Students (IJMS), which empowers students through research, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing. In pursuit of this, I’ve had the privilege of contributing as the Secretary General of the Students Association for Medical Education and Research (SAMER), where I championed initiatives to promote educational advancement and foster research opportunities. Additionally, I co-founded Research Talk, a recent initiative that aims to enhance research capabilities and create a collaborative network within Sudan’s medical community. With a clear goal of becoming a physician advocate, I am constantly striving for personal and professional growth through leadership, research, and active engagement in extracurricular activities. These efforts are in perfect harmony with IJMS’s mission, which encourages medical students to take an active role in shaping the future of healthcare and medical education. Through my work, I aim to inspire the next generation of medical students—empowering them to lead with innovation, advocate for change, and make lasting contributions to the healthcare field
