Om Pandey is a second-year MBBS student at Chirayu Medical College and Hospital, Bhopal, with a strong passion for medical research and a deep commitment to improving healthcare access for underserved communities. He believes that scientific advancements should translate into real-world benefits, especially for those who need them the most. He is actively involved in medical organizations such as the Indian Academy of Geriatrics (IAG) and the Indian Medical Association’s Medical Students’ Network (IMA-MSN), where he engages with peers and professionals to discuss public health challenges and advancements in medical education. These affiliations allow him to stay informed about emerging healthcare issues and further develop his research interests. His primary research interests lie in the role of nutrition and micronutrients in chronic disease management, as well as the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) for better healthcare outcomes. He aspires to explore how these technologies can improve diagnostics, patient care, and accessibility, particularly in resource-limited settings. Beyond academics, he is dedicated to social impact. Through his volunteer work with the Robin Hood Army, he has participated in food distribution, education drives, and health awareness campaigns, reaffirming his commitment to serving underprivileged communities. These experiences continue to shape his perspective on healthcare disparities and the urgent need for innovative, scalable solutions. In his free time, he enjoys reading fictional novels, playing sports, and traveling to historical places. Exploring different cultures and histories provides him with a broader perspective on global health challenges and the diverse factors influencing healthcare. While still exploring the many paths within medicine, he remains driven by the goal of combining research, technology, and public service to create meaningful change in healthcare.
