Rutam Bhalendu Vaishnav is currently a final-year undergraduate medical student at Pramukhswami Medical College, Bhaikaka University, Karamsad, India. His academic journey has been marked by consistent excellence, with a strong commitment to medical education, research, and professional development. He was awarded the Young Researchers Award for his research presented at the 9th European Conference on Religion, Spirituality, and Health, held at Paracelsus Medical University, Salzburg, in May 2024. He has also presented his work at the 100th Conference of The Physiological Society of Japan in Kyoto in March 2023. He also has 2 national conference presentation to his name. In addition to research, he has actively contributed to academic mentoring, serving as a peer facilitator for the initiative "Inculcating Research Mindset in Undergraduate Medical Students" at Pramukhswami Medical College. He is engaged in multiple ongoing research projects covering diverse topics such as the effects of breathing techniques on heart rate variability, the impact of spiritual well-being on caregiver burden, innovative teaching methods in medical education, self-care practices during pregnancy, and perspectives on pharmacovigilance. He has consistently ranked high in his university examinations throughout the first, second, and third years of his MBBS program, demonstrating his dedication to academic excellence. His academic curiosity and critical thinking skills have also earned him top positions in several state and national quizzes and essay-writing competitions in Preventive and Social Medicine, Physiology, and Pharmacology.
