Amna Zaheer

Amna Zaheer is a 4th-year medical student at Liaquat National Medical College, Pakistan. Her journey in the field of research began with Darul Qalb's research program back in 2022, mentored by Dr. Ahmad Akhtar, where she got her first publication. Amna actively engages in various research activities, including study conceptualization, topic selection, literature search, and manuscript writing. She is particularly interested in exploring novel avenues in medical research and contributing to the advancement of healthcare through evidence-based practices.

Her passion extends beyond research, as she is involved in several organizations dedicated to advancing global health and surgery initiatives, including Darul Qalb, which is a non-profit organization working to eradicate rheumatic mitral stenosis through early detection and treatment. Notably, Amna is a chair of InciSioN Pakistan, where she plays a pivotal role in reviving the organization and spearheading its efforts to promote global surgery initiatives. Through her leadership and dedication, Amna continues to make significant contributions to the medical field, both in research and advocacy for global health.

Additionally, she serves as the Orientation Centre Co-Lead of the Scientific Program Committee for the Medical Student World Congress of Neurosurgery, scheduled to be held in Italy this year.
