Marcel is one of the Student Editors of the IJMS and a current MD student at Monash University, Australia. Marcel is actively involved with research and has several peer-reviewed publications in the field of medical AI. His research interests lie in predictive modelling, informatics, and ophthalmology. Marcel is also involved in research education and convened the inaugural Australian Medical Students’ Association Research Symposium in 2021. Outside of research, he integrates his passion for medicine and technology with his work at Heidi Health, where he is part of the team developing an intelligent clinical decision support tool to support General Practitioners.
