Victoria Zecchin Ferrara

Victoria Zecchin Ferrara is a medical student at the University of Padua, Italy, currently pursuing an Erasmus+ scholarship at the Jessenius Faculty of Medicine, Comenius University, Slovakia. She has gained hands-on experience in clinical and research settings, including an internship at the General Surgery – Transplant Department at Duke University, where she is involved in transplant immune regulation research and surgical shadowing. Additionally, she works with the Unit of Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Public Health at Azienda Ospedaliera di Padova, contributing to systematic reviews on healthcare professional burnout. Her research interests span plastic surgery, neurology, and oncology, and she has published scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals. She is also an active peer tutor, mentoring students preparing for medical school admissions. Beyond academics, Victoria has been a dedicated volunteer with the Red Cross and AIRC, supporting emergency medical response, vaccination campaigns, and cancer research fundraising. She has also represented Italy as a captain of the U20 National Women's Hockey Team and competed at international levels.
