Yuvraj Rananajay Singh is a final-year medical student with a keen interest in neurology and clinical research. His academic journey is distinguished by several prestigious research grants, including the ICMR-STS Grant and the IAP-ICP Research Grant. His research extends to neurodegenerative diseases, with ongoing studies exploring the gut-brain axis in Parkinson’s disease, the role of the renin-angiotensin system in Alzheimer’s disease, and chemotherapy-induced cognitive impairment. He has also received hands-on training at CSIR-Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), Hyderabad, where he worked on molecular biology, cytogenetics, and RNA-based techniques. His international research exposure includes mentorship acceptance from faculty at Harvard Medical School and Johns Hopkins University, reflecting his dedication to advancing neurological research. As a peer reviewer for Cureus and an active member of the American Academy of Neurology and the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society, he is committed to maintaining high scientific standards in academic publishing. He has presented his work at multiple conferences, earning accolades for research on healthcare quality indicators. Through his role at IJMS, he hopes to contribute to the advancement of student-led research while refining his skills in editorial work and peer review. His long-term goal is to become a clinician-scientist in neurology, bridging research and patient care to develop novel therapeutic interventions.
